Rome, 20-22 June 2013- International Symposium The cultures in the face of God

From 20th to 22 June 2013 an International Symposium of Professors, The cultures in the face of God will be held in Rome. Even though the schedule is still to be completed, some important information on the venue and the subjects are already available. On the first day of the event, organized in collaboration with the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deans from the Mediterranean Universities will meet. In the afternoon an opening ceremony will be held at Campidoglio in the presence of authorities such as the General Vicar for the diocese of Rome, Card. Agostino Vallini and the Italian Minister of University and Research. Prof.Grace Davie, from the University of Exeter (UK) will held a "lectio magistralis" whose moderator will be Prof. Cesare Mirabelli, from the University Tor Vergata in Rome. Although some specific topics have still to be agreed upon, the thematic areas are already known: history, humanities, law, sociology, communication, biomedicine, environment and sustainable development, economics, education, technology, psichology and arts. The Universities involved are all from Rome and offer distinguished Professors. They are: LUMSA, Tor Vergata, Campus bio-medico, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore,, La Sapienza, Roma Tre, LUISS, Roma Foro italico, Link University,Università europea, LusPio. The event will conclude at the Auditorium Antonianum in the presence of Monsignor Lorenzo Leuzzi, Associate Bishop for the diocese of Rome
