A Sud dell'Europa Dalla Carta di Barcellona all'Unione per il Mediterraneo

"A Sud dell'Europa - Dalla Carta di Barcellona all'Unione per il Mediterraneo" (South of Europe - From the Barcelona Chart to the Union for the Mediterranean) was recently published by Agrilavoro Edizioni, Roma. The book, which was edited by Secretary General Luigi Troiani, includes papers from the Conference, "The Barcelona process: Union for the Mediterranean. The contribution of service industry", organized by Euro-Med TDS in Rome. The texts analyze the politics and economics in the Mediterranean area, both in the present and in the past, paying special attention to specific fields such as culture, tourism, human movements, business and the service industry. The volume is also enriched with a CD-ROM, containing official documents of the European Union related to Mediterranean affairs.

Several experts from different countries and backgrounds contributed to the book and are listed as follows: Gilles Mentré, Ignacio Garcia Bercero, Marco Arzilli, Simona Torresi, Antonio Paoletti, Can Baydarol, Paolo Odone, Theodore Kallitsis, Albino Gorini, Pere Llorens, Palmira Sciarpelletti, Vera Lentini, and Eti Vidavsky.

We received a letter of acknowledgement from the President of Copasir (the Parliamentary Committee for the Intelligence and Security Services and for State Secret Control), The Honorable Massimo d'Alema and a letter of appreciation for the volume from the Honorable Margherita Boniver.
