Events on Immigration - Rome, Italy, May 19, 26 & 31, 2011
The Chamber of Commerce and Province of Rome in conglomeration with the Vatican Radio recently held a series of events concerning immigration in Italy.
The Chamber supported the series as well as the initiative on migrant workers, also in collaboration with the Office of Migrants of Rome and Lazio.
The series included discussions on the following topics:
- Voices of the Arab World in Italy
- Bulgarians and Romanians: 25+2= The New Community
- Italy-Germany: Experiences of Integration
The sessions provided personal experiences from immigrants as well as local organizations that work in the field of immigration.
The struggles and success stories of immigrant communities were discussed, highlighting the unique impact of immigration in European society.
Literature on immigration was provided to participants as well.
