The recent changes that occurred in Tunisia are not preventing Italian entrepreneurs from investing in the country.
A strong bond between the two countries has remained throughout the years, with more than 800 Italian companies operating in Tunisia.
Italy also continues to be Tunisia's second largest trading partner, making up 17.2 percent of Tunisian imports and 20.6 percent of Tunisian exports.
Tunisia's Foreign Industry Promotion Agency (FIPA), has also recently started an economic campaign to promote Tunisia's global image and attract more investment. Mokhtar Chouari, information attaché at the FIPA stated that "The promotion plan is aimed at raising the awareness of collectors and investors from France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Britain".
These new initiatives will allow for economic growth and development, as well as continue to strengthen the ties between Tunisia and Europe.
