In the President’s Office at Palazzo Montecitorio, a meeting took place between the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Gianfranco Fini, former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, and the Secretary General of Euro-Med TDS, Luigi Troiani. During the meeting the Secretary General introduced Euro-Med TDS to the President and brought his attention to its various activities. In particular, Prof. Troiani extended an invitation to the President to be Guest Speaker at the conference that the association is organizing in November.

The Conference “Crisis and Renewal in the Mediterranean: A role for Enterprises and Market Institutions” scheduled for the 14/15th of November, aims at analyzing the political and economic situation that is currently taking course in the Mediterranean region, and will focus on identifying and promoting the role the Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations, together with other Market Institutions, can assume to meet the challenges.

In accepting the invitation, the President has also foreseen the patronage of the presidency to the conference.
